it's been FAR too long!

I still don't know exactly what I am going to do with this blog, but I thought it would be a good idea to have it just in the event that I wanted to vent...
no venting today, just checking in. a little update however...I quit my job at Eddie Bauer Corporate to go back to school for Apparel Design. I just finished up my first term and boy was it a doozy! I carried 16 credits and averaged 16-18 hours a day with the commute, class and homework time. It was insane! Fortunately, now I only have 13 credits (classes start again on Wednesday, 1.2.08) so it will hopefully be a little less arduous term.

Hello? Anyone There?

Ok, so I've been reading other blogs and thought it was about damn time I start my own, right? I have no idea if anyone will actually read this, but here goes!
I have been knitting for 6 years and teaching for 2. My dream is to have my designs published but I have to get my act together and actually write them down! Eeek!
A quick synopsis of Amanda:
I bead, knit, quilt, bake (cookies ONLY), volunteer at a local animal rescue and work for Eddie Bauer Corporate. Married, 2 dogs, 1 niece and a room full of crafty bits (like you don't know what I'm talking about...) but in no specific order.
